Universal- and anchor drilling rig

Drilling rig KR 806-4E

The zero-emission drilling rig with increased load capacity, especially for pile and anchor drilling with double head. With simple connection to the standard electrical infrastructure on construction sites. Battery-powered, off-grid operation is also possible.

The powerful zero-emission drilling rig with increased load capacity for anchor and pile drilling with double head.

Zero Emission
The newly developed KR 806-4E drill rig is the zero-emission solution within the globally popular KR 806 series, recognized for its advanced technology and maximal performance.  Zero emission means to be free from local exhaust fumes, and to have a significant reduction in fine dust and noise pollution. The KR 806-4E is ideal for use on construction sites with high standards of decarbonization and zero-emission targets including sites located in urban, noise-sensitive areas, in tunnels and in enclosed spaces.

Smart drive technology
The power train is based on an electrical, permanently energized synchronous machine with a peak output of 180 kW.  For permanent maximum power, a stationary connection to the mains with 1x 250 A and Powerlock connectors is available. Connection to a standard 400 V AC on-site power distributor for hybrid operation ( grid/battery) is very easy with a max. 1x 125 A CEE plug. The actively cooled battery is used to cover peak loads and allows the rig to operate independently to the mains supply. Using its own battery management system, the battery automatically recharges depending on load situation at that time. When configured with battery, an on-board transformer ensures galvanic isolation and the correct electrical network. This allows for a safe operation in all working applications.

Machine kinematics
The kinematics are the same as those of the KR 806-4GM. Stiffness, operational fatigue strength and operational stability have been significantly increased whilst there has been a considerable reduction in mechanical tension. The kinematics have been specially reinforced for the MAG 6.1 rod magazine. They also provide an option for HDI equipment.

Hydraulic system
The hydraulic system includes a three-circuit load-sensing system which uses the successfully tried and tested Load Limit Control and patented Power-Sharing technologies. The mobile control blocks are directly integrated into the CAN-BUS and are extremely responsive. They are self-regulating thus unaffected by temperature and highly precise. The EEP-Package (EEP=Energy-Efficient Power) uses a power and energy management system whereby the motor speed automatically adapts to the respective load and operating conditions. Additionally, the large hydraulic cooler features temperature-controlled speed regulation which further reduces noise emissions.

Smart operation and control
All the drilling rig functions are operated over radio remote control. The functional safety of the machine control system complies with Performance Level C (ISO 13849) which means that it has been designed to be extremely resistant to malfunctions and failures. The drilling rig can also be operated in modes ROM and SPM in accordance with EN 16288. A further safety feature of the KR 806-4E is that it is pre-equipped for the installation of a KLEMM Bohrtechnik interlocking guard.

Maintenance and diagnostics
The already extensive display options and diagnostic tools that are customary with KLEMM Bohrtechnik have been also been expanded. For example, the screens can display the flow regulation of each flushing channel, the drilling depth or the inclination of the mast. All pump circuits are equipped with easily reachable mini measuring connectors. A telematics system with the DataLink Air module is installed as standard.

The advantages

Zero Emission

The electro-hydraulic drilling rig causes no local exhaust fumes and significantly less noise. It can easily be operated on a standard 400 VAC site power distribution board.

Power

Boom kinematics and mast systems as its diesel-powered counterpart, the KLEMM KR 806-4GM, additionally higher performance.

Off-grid operation

Powerful on-board battery for off-grid operation and to cover peak loads.

Telematics

Telematics solution for machine, process and service data for fleet management, preventive maintenance, etc.

  • Combined mains / battery operation
  • Battery for mains-independent operation and to cover load peaks with power supply with 1x 125 A CEE
  • Can be converted by the user to pure mains operation 1x 250 A via Powerlock plug connection
  • Stroke limiter and carriage position indicator, electronic, programmable by the operator
  • Biodegradable hydraulic oil and bypass filtration
  • Remotely operated and monitored flushing fittings for up to three flushing media, flushing pumps, compressed air lubricator (max. 35 bar).
  • MAG 6.1 double boom magazine (payload 1,100 kg)
  • Suitable for Symmetrix™ and HPI drilling equipment

Operating modes

hybrid electric

Drilling rig can be connected to the on-site power distributor with max. 1x 125 A CEE plug. 1x 86 kW from mains, peak load coverage from battery. The battery is charged as soon as the power demand of the drive train is below the power of the mains connection.

Network form on the device: IT, galvanic separation from mains by on-board isolating transformer.

Operating modes

grid-bound

Drilling rig can be connected to the on-site power distributor with max. 1x 250, min. 1x 32A A via powerlock connection. The battery is disconnected.

Mains form on the rig: TT or TN (or TN-S), depending on the local grid provider.

Operating modes

off-grid

The drilling rig can be operated off-grid. The operating time depends on the battery state of charge and the power consumption.
