Last November, our new electro-hydraulic anchor drilling rig KR 806-3E celebrated its premiere on a construction site after several years of intensive development - a milestone for us and for the industry.
As the world's first electro-hydraulic anchor drilling rig with battery storage for overburden drilling in rotary percussion drilling, it set new standards for BAUER Funderingstechniek B.V. in the production of micropiles along the A9 motorway in the Netherlands. The deployment went smoothly and to the great satisfaction of all involved. The KLEMM KR 806-3E not only worked exceptionally quietly but also impressed with its extraordinary energy efficiency: mainly due to the efficiency of 0.92 of the electric motor compared to a diesel engine with 0.4, the electrically operated drilling rig required almost three times less energy on the same construction site.
The successful practical testing led to further customer orders for this innovative device in a very short time. Soon, our prototype will demonstrate its performance on the next construction site.
This success marks a significant step towards decarbonization in mechanized foundation engineering and strengthens our commitment to sustainable solutions.
